"Things that are new? I don't know. Newness tends to feel good, but...You can't tell until you reach the end, but yes. I agree that we can help each other though. I think it'll take some living to do." He shirked off his trenchcoat, letting it slide down his back, exposing his bare chest and it's many scars.
"That's a skill that would come in handy." He lifted his hands with the white gloves covering them. "All I have are destructive hands, and speed. Not much besides that. I've become attached to Brezzen I guess. I'm not willing to really leave him. I think about it a lot. Just finding someone stronger, and leaching their power, but I can never do it." He closed his eyes, then opened them again. "I guess we do have this though." He gestured around them.

"What does newness feel like? Like waking up in the morning to find that your in a brand new home... or changing your eye color every once and awhile?" she asked still looking up at him as he suddenly removed his trencoat. Skye blinked a few times in surprise, wondering why he'd done that- though she didn't dwell on that long before she began to notice all of the scars that he bore on his chest. "You must of faught many battles to get so many scars...." she said, letting out a long breath as she spoke.
"From what I remember it does come in handy." she said, a smile lighting up her face again. "And its pretty too." Skye said, her tail swooshing again as she put her hand shakily up in the air for a moment before it steadied. Her eyes gave off a faint glow as she concentrated and a swirl of permafrost appeared, floating around in the air like a snake. "See. It is pretty." she purred, watching it as it seemed to sparkle.
She listened to him again as he spoke of Brezzen. She let her hand fall back down again as the glowing in her eyes stopped and the ice dissapeared. She breathed heavily for a few brief moments before she started to listen to him, her ears pricking upwards. "You must have a strong bond with your faerie friend then." she noted, blinking at him.

"Newness...I think...The way I think of it is" Dekay stopped to think. "That hesitation, and not being sure about something, mixed with...a sense of adventure. Like a brand new pair of clothes or shoes. You wear them, but after a while they wear out, not physically, but in your mind. You're used to seeing them, and the previous excitement of 'Oh, my new shirt!' is gone, and now it's just 'time to put on my shirt'. There's nothing left to it after the newness. It's why so many people have commitment issues I think." As soon as he finished he felt he'd said to much, but spoke again anway. "Not many people like a parasite. So they run me out of the bodies of their friends the only way the know how. Violence. Not one single person has ever come to me, and asked me to leave."
Dekay watched as the frost floated through the air. She was right. "It is beautiful. The way that it moves, and looks is wonderful. The shimmer and shine is enchanting." He kept his eyes on it until it disappeared. He watched where it had been for a few moments as if it were still there, and then closed his eyes, bringing them back to Skye's face, and opening them.
"No. Not really, but...He lost his newness quickly, and then I was stuck with him for so long, and now I know that if I were to leave I would feel empty, and would always try to come back and find him. I doubt he even likes me. He's not the kind of person that would enjoy my presence. I like you though."

Skye listened to his long explanation, though it did seem quite fitting, and it wasn't very confusing so she understood it well. She gave a small nod when he finished. "I believe that a good way of looking at it." she commented, smiling somewhat. "So then if I understand correctly since I just met you you'd be new, and I would be new to you.... then after a year it would just be there's my friend, and not new friend." she repeated things almost the same, but used a different contex just to be sure she had it right, though she was almost certain this time that she did. As he began to speak again her ears pricked forward, more on instinct now then anything else. "Violence is bad..." she hissed, almost like a child since her voice had the hint to it that time. "It gives nothing but bad memories... very bad memories." she said, not looking at him anymore as she saw thoughts again- a tiny bit of her sanity slipping again.
"Yes.... enchanting." she purred the word, liking the way it sounded rolling off the tongue- it seemed familiar, yet distant- maybe it had been something she had been called before... yes- the ice enchantress they used to call her- well some had called her, but from where she couldn't seem to remember.
Skye looked back up at him when he looked down at her, speaking to her again, though she didn't agree this time. "That is a type of bond... I'm pretty sure..." she said, thinking about it still, though she was fairly certain. "Even if you do not enjoy each others company, you are stuck together... like glue, and you share a bond as you have the same body." she said, her ears pricking up as she surprised herself with her own words again. "You like me? That is a lovely thought." she said, her tail wagging now as she seemed to be regaining more strength again.

Dekay nodded, first smiling. "Yes, that's right." Then unfortunately he nodded to the second statement as well. "As sad as it is, you're right there too. All violence does is ruin things. Then again that's true with all bad decisons. They destroy." He didn't linger on that topic though. He knew it would come to no good. Talking about bad things never made them less bad. They made them more acceptable or easier to handle, but never less bad.
He was glad that she was soon allowed good memories. Everyone needed them. Dekay had none but this day, and those were his good memories, but now he had them. These were his good memories. The beginnings of his good times. He was smiling as she thought. As she remembered. He admired her beauty.
He laughed at her reply to his thoughts. Not a 'haha you're stupid' laugh, but a 'haha, I'm stupid laugh'. "Of course. It is a bond." He lightly tapped his own forehead. "I can't believe I said otherwise." He thought for a second trying to find a good way to explain the bond to himself and finally deciding on one. "Like a coin...neither side will ever touch, but they are connected, and they are one."

As the topic of violence was soon overpassed she found herself relieved by that- not willing to feel anymore pain from her thoughts. "Yes... all is destroyed." she agreed, her ears flattening down on her head. As she came back from her thoughts she noticed him smiling at her and she smiled back. "You have a nice smile." she thought aloud, wondering what he was smiling about now though.
Her ears twitched straight up when he laughed- that was a sound she hadn't heard in a long time, and it made her purr in amusement like cat- like she had used to do all of the time- but she was locked away most of the time, and when she was out it was like back in the alleyway- painful, bloody, and something she really didn't enjoy- no place for happiness at all. "A coin?.... Yes that is a good way of putting it." she agreed, her tail wagging still. "And it is a good way to remind yourself what kind of bond you have, since you seemed to of forgotten so freely." she noted, smiling again at him.

Dekay blushed slighly as she told him that he had a nice smile. He didn't get many compliments. Ever. Of course, he was a demon. Demon's were supposed to only be obsessed with killing and raping. Demon's didn't have thoughts or feelings. On more than one occasion he'd been told that he was broken demon, and didn't work right. Not in those exact words, but it usually amounted to that, if not much worse. It was a nice compliment.
He noticed her ear twitch at his laughing, and her purr, and then her tail. Everything about her attracted him to her. Not just her physical, but her mannerisms and thoughts, and personality. "Yes, I think I forgot too easily. I will remember." He really liked her smile.

Skye watched him as he blushed- wondering why- had she said something wrong? She didn't exactly know, but by his look right now it didn't seem so- though his thoughts seemed somewhat invaded with other things at the same time- not really a distraction though. She cept on with her observations- waiting for him to speak, though he still seemed wrapped in thoughts.
"Good... it is a good memory and you should keep it." she told her, her tail still swaying at her side as she looked up at him. It was awhile before she spoke again, since she had taken a bit of time to think about things; "You have many thoughts my friend..." she noted curiously, watching him still. "Will you tell me what about?" she asked.

He laughed again. "Alright, alright, I'll keep it, I'll keep it." When she asked what he was thinking he answered without really thinking about the answer. "I'm thinking about how beautiful I find you. About how I love your thoughts and beliefs on things, and how unfortunate you are to have a typical demon forced upon you. I'm thinking about how I'm sorry that you seem to have lost many memories, and how your emotions are not fully developed. I'm thinking about how these moments with you have been the happiest in all my hundreds of years of life. The only happy moments. About how even though this world is ruined, that I thank it for being the way it is because otherwise I doubt I'd ever meet you. I'm thinking about how I want to be around you and protect you, and how I don't want to be a monster anymore." He brought his hand up to his head, slicking his black hair back again several strands hung down in front again.

"Good." she said somewhat triumphantly as he agreed to keep the memory. Skye looked up at him as he began to explain- though she hadn't actually been expecting him to answer much he was answering.. much. But she liked his long but nice answer- she loved having somewhat think about her with good thoughts and not bad ones- even though besides Konseishi he was the only one who really knew of her existence. "Those are big thoughts... and I like them." she said with somewhat of a giggle or a half laugh as her eyes shown brightly, amusement streaked across her face as she looked back up at him, smiling again. "I would also like you to protect me, since I don't seem to be doing a very good job at it myself.... and I do not think that your a monster. Possibly just a missunderstood demon." she had come to her conclusion now and she was not going to change her mind anytime soon.

(New thread! Mooo)
"Infernal rain..." Inferno thought with a sigh as the down pour of rain fell, almost making him deaf from his acute hearing was he and a battalion of his custom built pyro bots marched through it in search of something. Even his sense of smell was being drowned out by the rain as it fell, making it hard for him to track what he had been called in to search for. A renegade demon which had managed to break free of the empire's control and had gone on a small rampage.
Rain rolled off the hood of his trench coat as his eyes came apon a scene of carnage. Minor demons were strewn about with their innards ripped out, mixed with some of his pyro bots strewn about in pieces and puddles of blood and oil. Then he caught the scent, the demon he was looking for had just been here and was... was behind him! Inferno whipped around as a giant of a demon suddenly burst through a ruined building letting a deafing howl out before being pelted with thermal beams from Inferno's robots.
It let a roar out and swun it's giant meaty arm, smacking a row of the black and red armored androids aside as Inferno pulled out his sword and charged the beast. Jumping into the air, Inferno swun his sword at the demon's head as it raised a forearm to shield itself causing Inferno's sword to shoot a shockwave of thermal energy out from the impact sending the giant stumbling back. "That didn't do jack shit..." Inferno thought with a growl as his pyro bots let mechanical howls of their own and charged at the demon in a freenzied state.
Some lobbed fireballs at it while others literally began to dog pile on it, biting down into it's skin trying to rip it apart making it howl in pain. It began grabbing the robots and threw them off, sending them crashing into their comrades as Inferno leaped at it again for another attack. Again, he was blocked by another meaty forearm, this time causing the blade of his sword to shatter as he was grabbed in one of it's large hands. Inferno was at a slight disadvantage it seemed. His physical attacks on it didn't seem to penetrate the demon's tough hide, and the fire attacks from his bots and his sword didn't seem to bother it either.
"Least it isn't worse then that..." Inferno thought biting down on a finger of the hand holding him captive, making the demon let another agonished howl of pain out as it threw him away, sending him crashing into a building. Inferno tasted blood in his mouth, not his, but the demon's. The sweet taste of blood... it was... wonderful. "Blood... sign of injury. Overwhelm with numbers. Bigger prey are easier to take down with large packs of hunters..."[/b][/color] Inferno's animal instincts stated as he rose out of the rubble of the building, his face hidding in the shadow of his hood.
A single strike of lightning later illuminated the darkness under his hood and revealed a twisted smile before it faded again in the darkness. "Attack prey's leg... without them it will be all the easier to take down," Inferno's deranged mind thought with blood thirst. The demon continued to fend off the pyro bots' attacks, letting an intimidating roar out when it saw Inferno who responded with an even more terrifying roar of his own as he ran toward the demon with a blood shot gaze. Then together Inferno and his bots attacked demon at all angles, Inferno going for the backs of it's legs and trying to tear into them...

As she laughed, he just said. "I can't help it if I think a lot." He said it jokingly, and with a smirk on his face though. "Well, you can count on me then." He said still smiling, but his reply to her next comment was just a bit more grim. "I hope so."
Dekay listened for a second. A crash could be heard not too far away, but for now it didn't concern him. When she laughed again he tentatively ran a hand from her forehead through her hair. "You're feeling much better Mrs. No one." That reminded him. He still didn't know her name. He doubted he would, but that was alright. "I assume that you heard that as well? That crash. It sounds like quite the fight." He spoke calmly and easily. "Is there any particular action you'd like to take? A strategic retreat? Evasive maneuvers? Engage the enemy? Go out and see if they want to play?"

"Good." she replied, her tail still wagging. Then there was loud crash. She continued to listen curiously- not sure what it was- well obviously a fight, but who it was more precisely. She closed her eyes lightly when he ran his hand from her forehead through her hair, then she opened her eyes again, looking up at him with a smile. Her ears gave a twitch. "I believe I must heal fast then." she said, her ears twitching again as another crash sounded. "My name....." she said thoughtfully, thinking to herself for a moment. "Skye..... pretty as a sky." she purred thoughtfully, remember somewhat- she knew that was her birth name- but what she was called now- she couldn't be certain.
"Hmm... yes fight... violence..." she said, looking away again as she listened. She didn't hear what he said next as suddenly thoughts swirled through her haid, making her feel woozy. "Blood.... no blood..." she whispered to herself, her eyes going a bit wide as the smell begain to become overwhelming. "Bad blood.... scarlet blood... death..." she kept whispering, her claws extending from her fingertips as she started to squirm around a bit.

Inferno and his bots continued getting smacked around, Inferno getting whacked by a tail and sent flying for a moment before he caught himself and kept afloat in the air. "Now how did I miss that?" he growled to himself as his pyro bots continued to cut up the demon in their efforts to take it down. "You are beginning to piss me off..." Inferno stated with a hiss as he flew at the demon and crashed into it sending them both crashing into another building.

Dekay quickly regretted asking her about what to do. He should have known what to do to begin with, and now she was panicking. He ran his hand through his hair soothingly, speaking softly to her in the safety of their ivy lined enclosure. "It's okay, be calm, it'll be alright. We won't go near the bad blood. We won't go near the death. It's gonna be okay, it'll be alright. Don't worry." As he said this he slowly took off his right glove. It wasn't safe to stay put any longer, and besides. The rain had started to let up a little. He placed his hand on the vines of death, and even they couldn't withstand the death instilled in his hand. The vines withered and faded, crackling and dying in a small circle beneath them.
With his left arm, he held Skye, and dropped easily out of the hole he'd made in the deadly ivy pod. He let the strings extend from his right hand, and whipped them easily up to the roof, wrapping around something up there. Holding Skye he ran up the side of the building, appearing at the top in just under a second. He quickly went to the street-side edge of the roof and surveyed the scene that up until now he hadn't realized exactly how close it was to them. There was a giant demon standing in the middle of the street fighting robots, or clones or something. He couldn't see a leader, but he wasn't sure he wanted. He went back to Skye asking in a hurried, but calm, and generally pleasant voice. "Can you walk, Skye?"
